John Burnell, Taffy, falkor, Headset57 and Hysteria in 2005hello from 'falkor' of national-pcsos.co.uk

You have arrived at the new website "police community support officer"

Welcome indeed. The site runs faster and with a far better technical support team than we had before.

Our old home still exists of course but as many members have pointed out - the performance over there nowadays is likely to be slow / unpredictable/ disappointing, not what PCSOs deserve.

Hence this new project! Here's hoping that a new start for the forums will be good for all concerned. From what I have seen so far, the new forums are consistently fast across all areas and the tech support team have so far fielded every single query in magnificent short order.

Simply press the forum button top left of this page to access the new forums as soon as you wish. I think you will be most aggreeable to the ease of access on offer.

If you do come upon any problems at all- do please let me know on the email addresses listed below, top regards ....... falkor 18.11.05

22 SEP 2005 kipper appointed as Supervisor to national-PCSOs
there goooooooes kipper! An interest in policing lead me to join as a PCSO as I wanted to do something positive to help society. I believe the role of the PCSO was born out of a period of time where the police lost a bit of the 'personal touch' and communities became slightly distant from the traditional British Policing style. It has been a testing time adapting this role which to be fair is still in its primary years and has some developing yet to do.

However I see the future of PCSOs as being a far stronger respected local community police officer role, 'The Bobbie on the Beat'.
